#sparkchamber 022519 — Jody Vance
The first sign that Spring is approaching is the start of Spring Training, a kind of sports calendaring relevant to today’s #sparkchamber visitor. Jody Vance is a born and raised Vancouverite with a passion for finding facts and truth — a drive that fueled her 30-year broadcasting career in both local and national media. She always loved sports, and began her career with a desire to break the glass ceiling in sports TV. And guess what? She did it! Jody was the first woman in the history of Canadian TV to host her own sports show in primetime.
With the birth of her son, her perspective shifted to world issues and news knowledge. She now works in talk radio and writes a weekly column, and co-hosts a weekly political podcast called UnSpun with former politician George Affleck. New podcasts drop Thursday evenings — subscribe here and enjoy!
