#sparkchamber 032717 Molly McIntyre
We welcome Molly McIntyre into the #sparkchamber today. Molly is a contemporary artist working with cut paper. She used to be in a band, but now she works in both animation and illustration because she likes storytelling and highlighting the humble moments of our everyday lives. Her work is expressive, compelling, and magical! She talks about her process in this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suy2etFq99k and you can see one of her amazing animations here: vimeo.com/22959935 For more, check out her website, mollymcintyre.com
1.] Where do ideas come from?
Some ideas come from the combination of multiple things to become a new thing, other ideas develop more organically, through slowly working away at something and realizing later what it was you were doing.
2.] What is the itch you are scratching?
To communicate and to create something tangible.
3.] Early bird or night owl, tortoise or hare?
Night owl at heart, trying to become an early bird. Hare in the moment, tortoise in the big picture.
4.] How do you know when you are done?
All the space is filled.
