#sparkchamber 040218 — Wendy Farina
On this day after April Fool’s day, #sparkchamber is beguiled by famous artist Wendy Farina, a long-time fixture of the San Franciscan art and music scene. A writer, filmmaker, and songwriter, she is perhaps best known as the drummer for what seems like the maximum allowable number of Bay Area bands. She has toured the U.S. and Europe with Towel, Condor, Fierce Antler, and T.I.T.S., among others, and is currently the taller half of the duo Electronic Death Registry. She is gluten-free and has an odd obsession with shrimp. A snarky cynic with beige nursing shoes and a heart of pure gold. Check out the band, and get to know her better here.
1.] Where do ideas come from?
Ideas come from the bathtub, which is where I find most of mine.
2.] What is the itch you are scratching?
I’m scratching all of the itches I can reach. Fortunately I have very long arms.
3.] Early bird or night owl, tortoise or hare?
Half late-morning pigeon and half hairy tortoise ... which half is which I’ll leave to your imagination.
4.] How do you know when you are done?
I’m done when I’ve been cooking for a while and have a nice aroma, but am still tender.
